FAQ

Do I or my child need a referral from my doctor to be seen?

No. In the state of Iowa, you do not need a referral from your doctor to be seen by a physical therapist. If you have a referral, please make it available at your first appointment. I will fax any pertinent notes regarding your treatment plan to your doctor. Collaboration with other providers on your healthcare team is always encouraged.

Can I use my insurance?

Hatch Physical Therapy accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans for office visits. Hatch Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans.  If you would like to submit it to your insurance company personally for reimbursement, I will provide you with an itemized invoice after each visit. I will be considered “out of network”.  Reimbursement for out-of-network services is not guaranteed.

Can I use my HSA or FSA account?

Yes. Acceptable forms of payment include HSA/FSA accounts, check, cash, or credit card.

What part of my home should we use for our sessions?

For a child or baby: a living room or room with open floor space is preferred. Have a few of your child’s favorite toys available.

For breastfeeding concerns: wherever you feel most comfortable. It is usually helpful to assess feeding in the chair that you use most often for breastfeeding.

For women’s pelvic health concerns: wherever you feel most comfortable. I will provide a treatment table and linens.

What should I wear?

For women and children, please wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. If I am assessing your baby, I may ask you to dress them down to their diaper during my assessment.

What do I do with my pet?

Please be sure to secure your pet in a separate space during our session. As much as I love your furry friends, they may be a distraction to your session!

Do you offer virtual visits?

Yes. Hatch Physical Therapy offers Telehealth (virtual) visits upon request.
